Sigma Energy & Marine AS is strengthening its presence on the Norwegian west coast by appointing Christian W. Berg as the new General Manager in Stavanger. At the same time, the company is moving into new, modern offices at Fjordpiren in Jåttåvågen – marking the next step in its growth strategy for the Norwegian offshore market.

Since its establishment in Stavanger in 2021 – in the midst of the pandemic – Sigma Energy & Marine has grown rapidly. The company, which initially focused on the technical development of subsea systems for the oil and gas industry, has in recent years expanded its offering to include systems and solutions operating above the waterline on the Norwegian continental shelf.

– When we established our presence in Stavanger, the goal was to get closer to our customers and talents within the offshore industry. The fact that we are now both growing and strengthening our local management shows that the strategy is paying off. It feels completely right to hand over the baton to Christian – a well-known, value-driven leader with strong relationships. Extensive experience from offshore, shipping, and renewable energy
Christian Wilhelm Berg is a strategically strong and technically skilled leader with over 25 years of experience from the offshore, subsea, shipping, and renewable energy sectors. He has held senior positions in companies such as Siem Offshore, Viking Supply Ships, Yara Clean Ammonia, and most recently served as Managing Director of Amogy Norway, where he led the establishment and commercial development of the company’s Norwegian operations in green ammonia and zero-emission technology.

Since its start in 2021, the Stavanger branch has grown to 25 employees, primarily based at the office but also supporting clients in Bergen and Trondheim. The move to Fjordpiren provides Sigma Energy & Marine with modern facilities at the heart of the region’s technology and energy cluster.
