2018-05-31 Sigma

This fall, Santander Consumer Bank will launch a trainee program in collaboration with Sigma Young Talent. The aim is to recruit and future-proof skills with junior developers, and the program will be called “Santander Redefining Banking Program”.

For the program they are looking for junior developer profiles who want to join tomorrow’s banking services in an environment that meets the values, “Simple, Personal and Fair”. They look at the individual skills as Santander are currently investing heavily in cutting edge technology and innovation.

– The banking industry is under an exciting and positive change with more transparency. Because of this, tomorrow’s customers are affected, and they are also likely to have a completely different view of what banking is. That’s why it’s obvious to us at Santander to work with Sigma Young Talent to find next-generation IT stars, says Thomas Lindqvist, Development Manager at Santander Consumer Bank.

– We are very happy and grateful for the trust we have received from Santander and for the opportunity to run a trainee program together. We, just like them, believe that the banking sector is facing exciting changes with many new opportunities. The trainee program aims to help Santander take advantage of these opportunities by engaging young IT talents that will contribute to innovation and new views, says Johan Ward, Business Area Manager at Sigma Young Talent.

The program will be launched in August 2018 and offers participants technical training and coaching in parallel with their work in order to get them a head start to their career and quickly become productive team members. The program is tailored to Santander’s need for .Net developer.
