Cindrigo is a renewable energy company with broad sector expertise, focused on developing a high-capacity, clean baseload power generation portfolio across Europe. Currently, our operations are primarily waste-to-energy and geothermal projects.

Geothermal energy enables CO2-neutral base-load production, which is greatly needed as fossil energy sources need to be replaced at an even faster pace. With ever-increasing electrification and soaring electricity prices, the demand for geothermal energy is expected to grow even further.

Part of the long-term solution

Geothermal energy has great potential to contribute to the increased production of clean and sustainable energy, including both electricity and heat. By implementing and developing proven models and technology, as well as evaluating new areas and technical solutions, it is our ambition to be part of the solution to the environmental challenges we face.

Initially, our goal is to grow in the European market, and with a combination of operational businesses and expansion projects, we are well-positioned. Based on our existing waste-to-energy operations in Finland and geothermal production projects in Germany, it is our ambition to expand both geographically and within the renewable energy production sector.

The year in brief

During the year, Cindrigo acquired a 50-year operational license for a waste-to-energy plant in Kaipola, Finland. The plant has a production capacity of 110 MW, producing both electricity and heat.

In our geothermal operations, we have signed agreements for three development licenses in the Upper Rhine Valley, Germany. The projects involve both electricity and heat production and cover a license area of approximately 130 km². In the first phase, the goal is to achieve an energy production of about 90 MW, but the long-term development potential is closer to 400 MW. We are also evaluating additional renewable energy projects.
